I’m a mum of 2 kids aged 5 and 1. But that’s not where my identity ends. I have a wide range of interests, and ever since the beginning of my parenting story, I became obsessed with finding great products that suited my needs, made life easier, but most importantly that were good quality, as earth-friendly as possible, but fun too.
Spending thousands of hours trawling the www, i was inspired to set this page up to build an honest and helpful resource for parents and parents to be, after my own experience left me feeling in the dark a lot; about what to do, about where to get the (good) stuff that we needed.
Ever googled something you’re looking for and been completely overwhelmed by the results, or lost down a rabbit hole, ending up somewhere very far from where your search began? Me too. With so many brands, webshops, affiliates, advertising, all looking to get their cut from a sale, the search to find the product you need (want?!) can be exhausting, and an extreme waste of time and energy.
That’s where TGR comes in – i see it as having to collect a whole bunch of dirt and rocks, and then, very slowly and expertly, sieve through the mess to find the good stuff (aka GOLD). this is what i will do for you so you don’t have to!
This sounds too general. Let me break it down for you. My main interests in this area, and which will dictate the content on The Golden Rush are:
- Re-usable and recyclable food containers, particularly for on-the-go
- Vegan and vegetarian meals that the whole family can eat, which require minimum preparation time. Lots of clever shortcuts!
- Attachment/natural parenting (with a strong twist of reality and flexibility)
- Natural remedies for both children and parents (obv. more preventative than emergency type stuff!)
- Simple, good quality clothing for kids for all weather types
- Links to articles and resources on mental health for parents
- I do plan on creating some of my own unique products. This will take some time! Watch this space…..
